Biography:
Susan Eloise Hinton (Tulsa, Oklahoma, 1950) is an American writer of juvenile and children's literature.
She studied at Will Rogers High School in Tulsa. She wrote profusely in her teens in the face of the inability to find books she really liked in the libraries of her hometown. At the age of seventeen he published his first novel, Outsiders (Rebels, 1967), which was a great critical and public success and was quickly translated into several languages, selling a mundial of more than nine million copies in a single year; in 1983 it was made into a film.
